SIGMA lab hosted students from Tarrant County Community College in Oct. 2023. These students are mostly mechanical engineers, and they obtained hands-on experience from a range of activities, including stereolithography printing and post-processing, selective laser sintering printing and post-processing, and thermoplastic waste recycling in additive manufacturing.
SIGMA lab hosted kids from Boys and Girls Club of Greater Tarrant Country in Aug. 2023. They got to see different 3D printers, took home some fun 3D printed parts, and even tried recycling wastes to make filaments for fused deposition modeling! This event is in collaboration with UTA Human Factors Lab. Kids also got to use the selective laser sintering printer in virtual reality!
